Riad Al Pacha

Leaning against the Borj Nord (former fort) Ain Azliten that gives access to the AL PACHA Riad, is one of the main entrances of the medina. You instantly find yourself immersed in the winding alleys of the century-old city.
Not far away from the AL PACHA Riad is the illustrious Qaraouiyne Mosque, the oldest teaching centre in the Western world and still one of the main intellectual centres of Maghreb, its library, one of the largest in the world, contains 30000 books, its 1200-year-old university, the Bouananiya Medersa and its water-driven clock with unfathomable mechanics, the wood museum of Nejjarine, the district of the tanners and also the Marabut Titani sanctuary, an important destination of pilgrimage for believers from the Sub-Sahara and Guyana.
